That's just the way it is...

Jaysonnn Deruulo

So yesterday, I went to yet another concert at the House of Blues in Chicago. This time the artist was Jason Derulo. I havn’t been to many concerts for Top 40 artist, Jason sure knows how to put on a show. He performed all of his hits from Ridin’ Solo to Whatcha Say. Along the way, he also did an amazing cover of Billie Jean by Michael Jackson. The atmosphere was great. It was a sold out show and you could feel the energy. The lighting and the stage was craazy. If he is scheduled to come to your city, I think it would definitely  be worth your 25 bucks to check him out. Very entertaining and exciting show!

Be sure to check out

Doo Wops & Hooligans

Fresh off of getting caught with cocaine in a Las Vegas bathroom, Bruno Mars performed in Chicago for the first time. The free show, which was sponsored by 103.5 KISS FM, and 107.5 WGCI, along with Blackberry, was not as crowded as I thought it would be. Despite the turnout, he put on a amazing show. The played songs including hits such as Nothin’ on You, and Billionaire.

I had seen videos of Mr. Mars live before, and liked what I heard, but he truly exceeded my expectations. The Billie Jean x Seven Nation Army mash up that he did was just awesome. After performing all of his hits, he made his way into debuting some new tracks from his new LP Doo Wops & Hooligans. My personal favorite was Grenade, which was the third single released off of the new album.  The show was great and I would highly recommend checking Bruno out when he come back to town at the Bottom Lounge on Nov. 27th.

Oh, also, Fat Joe performed before Bruno Mars, in the most random artist pairing I have ever seen. His performance is what you would expect from an artist who’s most recent release sold 5,000 in the first week….oh well.
